Hi! My name is Lorrie, the owner of What's Up Dox. I started this little weenie biz in 2006 when I came up with a few dachshund t-shirt designs as a way to raise money for Florida Dachshund Rescue. As demand for my Wiener Wear continued to grow I quit my career as a paralegal, jumped off the cliff into entrepreneurship, and What's Up Dox was born.
Our business philosophy is simple: to provide Dachshund aficionados and Dachshunds with fun, unique, quality products while providing stellar customer service. All of the items featuring our original artwork are exclusive to What's Up Dox. You won't find them anywhere else but here on our website and in our Etsy shop.
All of our original items are designed, screen printed and embroidered right here in Florida. We screen print using plasitol inks for artwork that is vibrant and long lasting. Each item you order is hand pressed and packed with care before being sent on it's way to you.
We also enjoy supporting the arts and other small businesses so we carry a few select products from various independent artists to provide our customers with innovative and creative items that you won't find at any of the big box retailers.
I'm passionate about rescue and am active in the dachshund rescue community. I volunteer for Touch of Grey Rescue, an all breed senior and special needs dog rescue here in Florida and What's Up Dox supports dachshund rescue organizations nationwide. The models you see throughout the website are my 13 rescue wieners extraordinaire: Jimmy, Oscar II, Mickey, Donovan, Henry, Luisa, Louie, Stewie, Oscar, Charlie, Jacob, Heidi Lou Who and Vinnie. Sadly, some of them are now getting into mischief at the Rainbow Bridge but their spirits and attitudes live on in my heart and imbue my designs with silliness and spunk.
Many of our customers have become a part of our extended family as we share laughs at wiener antics, concerns over medical issues and grief when one of our beloved goes to the Bridge.
